As a medical specialty, Diagnostic Radiology encompasses the use of a variety of imaging modalities to aid in the diagnosis of disease. Commonly used diagnostic imaging modalities include X-Ray, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, and Nuclear Imaging Techniques. The specialty is then broken into sub-specialty areas of expertise generally based on the anatomy of the human body. Those areas of specialty include Ultrasound, Neuroradiology, Body Imaging, Breast Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Nuclear Medicine including PET & PET/CT, Pediatric Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Neurointerventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, and Chest/Cardiovascular imaging.
Each of the Diagnostic Imaging Radiologists at Wichita Radiological Group have completed a four-year diagnostic imaging residency and are Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology.
